Study in Canada: International Student Scholarship at McGill University in Canada, 2018-2019




McGill University is one of Canada’s best-known institutions of higher learning and one of the leading universities in the world. The mission of McGill University is the advancement of learning and the creation and dissemination of knowledge, by offering the best possible education, by carrying out research and scholarly activities judged to be excellent by the highest international standards, and by providing service to society.

Applications are invited for Richard H. Tomlinson Undergraduate and Post Graduate Fellowships for the year 2018-2019. There are no citizenship restrictions, applicants of all nationalities are eligible to apply for these fellowships.


  • Entrance Requirements: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for these fellowships:
    • All Tomlinson Undergraduate and Post Graduate Fellowships are for recruiting new graduate students to McGill. Students currently enrolled at McGill, or whose latest degree was completed or in progress at McGill, are therefore ineligible. Former McGill students who later completed a graduate degree elsewhere may apply. Visiting students at McGill, who are completing the requirements for a degree from another university, may apply.
    • Citizenship: There are no citizenship restrictions.
    • Please Note: Tomlinson Doctoral Fellowships are adjudicated by the Faculty of Medicine Research and Graduate Studies Office.
  • English Language Requirements: The language of instruction at McGill University is English. Applicant must demonstrate the required level of English proficiency prior to admission to McGill, regardless of citizenship status or country of origin.
  • Application Deadline: June 15, 2018
  • Course Level: Fellowships are available to pursue the doctoral program.
  • Study Subject: Fellowships are awarded to learn any of the courses available at McGill University.
  • Scholarship Award: $35,000, renewable twice.
  • Number of Scholarships: Not Known
  • Nationality: All nationalities
  • Scholarship can be taken in Canada
