United Nations Scholarships provides scholarships to outstanding applicants from developing countries who demonstrate a need for financial assistance and applying for MSc in Sustainability or PhD in Sustainability at the United Nations University in Tokyo, Japan.
The scholarship provides a monthly allowance of 150,000 JPY* for living expenses for a maximum of 36 months for PhD in Sustainability applicants.
Scholarship covers:
- Tuition fees
- Accommodation fees
- Cost of books (Book allowance)
- Project and equipment expenses
- Student monthly allowance ($1,500)
Interested students must have obtained a high school leaving certificate to qualify for the scholarship. Part-time students are eligible to apply for the scholarship only in circumstances where the applicant is able to demonstrate heavy career commitments or a medical condition that precludes them from studying full time. Students may be either internal or external students. Both international and domestic students are eligible to apply.
The application form must be completed online or through the hard copy. The successful applicant will be chosen at the sole discretion of the United Nation.
